License: Apple-labeled

What does exactly "Apple-labeled computer" mean in license agreement? I found an article telling, that one can just label his computer with apple (the fruit) and then he can legally install/use MacOS X (provided he bought the license). But I think the article is wrong - in my opinion it means "labeled by Apple Inc." as there is that statement in the license:
... not sold, to you by Apple Inc. (“Apple”) for use only ...
And after this statement "Apple" should be substituted with "Apple Inc." so it should be "Apple Inc.-labeled" (?).
I tried to translate Polish license and it say something like this: "you are only allowed to use it on Apple hardware".

There is no license in my Language (Czech) so I can't say, who is right, but I think I am. I tried to tell the author of the article, but he keeps saying I'm wrong. I don't know, if I can attach the link to the article so I will do on explicit request only.

Thank you for your answer.

You are asking a legal question in a technical user-to-user forum.
I am not a lawyer, but I am quite sure that it is illegal to install Leopard on a computer that Apple does not consider "Apple-labeled."

The fact that the license is not in your language is moot. The license exists on the internet:
http://www.apple.com/legal/sla/macosx.html
There is also some old saw about ignorance of the law not being an excuse, but the fact that you know about the license means you understand it. I suggest contacting a lawyer for a legal explanation of the license.

I would presume that "Apple-labeled" means labeled by Apple. Painting a bicycle does not make it an airplane. 🙂

So it really means "labeled by Apple Inc." and not that one can put apple label on his computer?

Again, I am not a lawyer, but I would say that this is obvious.
The article should be censored then 🙂
No, it's self-censoring, IMO. Anyone can post nearly anything. It's up to the reader to discern fact from fiction. Freedom of Speech does not mean that the speech has to have meaning. 🙂

Attempts to install it on anything but an Apple manufactured piece of hardware would result in at best an unstable system, and one that legally would not be allowed in the state of California in the U.S. If you read the Terms of use on the right, that's the only qualification for discussion on this board.

Whether or not it is legal in the Czech republic has no bearing on that subject. This subject is not permissable for discussion because it is a discussion of Apple policy. That's another thing terms of use forbid on the right.
