Cannot connect to developer.apple.com

A week ago I could access the site without any problems (I couldn't download anything related to iPhone OS 3.0 though, but that may be a different problem). I remember updating through the Software Update, but forgot what the update was all about. After that, this happens.

I tried restarting in my Windows partition, and accessing the site using IE 8.0 and Firefox, but it still won't work. I still get the page cannot be displayed errors.

Anyway.. help 😟

How can I retrieve the IP of developer.apple.com? I'd like to try accessing that.

By the way, I can access other sites just fine. Even apple.com. Firewall's disabled too (at least up until a few minutes before writing this post. I did enable incoming traffic for Safari and other apps, though).

And oh yeah, Software Update doesn't work anymore. It hangs in the 'Checking for new software' portion and displays 'A networking error has occured: time out (-1001). Make sure you connect to the Internet, then try again.'

Could these issues be related to something I accidentally might've set or updated the OS with?

Hey there nerowolfe, thanks for the welcome. I just tried pinging the site and here's my result:

Ping has started ...
PING developer.apple.com (17.254.2.129): 56 data bytes
--- developer.apple.com ping statistics ---
10 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss

For some reason, anything my Mac sends out fails to reach 17.254.2.129 .. 😟
Accessing the dotted quad still yields the following message:

Safari can’t open the page.
Safari could not open the page “ http://17.254.2.129/” because the server is not responding.

Would you have any suggestions to further test if this is a DNS problem? I'm still wondering why I could access the site just a few days before (scratches head).
Thanks again, by the way.
