Flip mino or flip ultra HD to use in imovie and final cut express
i am contemplating either flip mino HD, Flip ultra HD or creative vado HD. Which one has a good video quality and design style? Is it necessary for 2 hrs movie or actually i like the flip mino coz its slimmer but only takes 1 hr video. By the way, What kind of format the flip camcorder will save as coz someone says its .avi but some says Mp4 format? If in Mp4 format, is the quality still good? most of the time i will shoot in ultra hi definition setting. I will use imovie and final cut for edit and does the Flip compatible to imovie and Final cut? How about creative vado? any recommendation?
But most likely i will get the flip.
What does the camera shoot? 1280x720 or standard definition? What format is the original media? I assumed it was standard definition because you converted to DV. Give us exact details of what your camera is producing.
I was using DVDPRO50 as recommended by a previous user on page one of this thread.
I followed your instructions. Still not working (video needs rendering). Do I have to change the sequence settings? Under the sequence's properties, it says "720x480" for the frame size: doesn't those numbers have to match the clip's settings of "1280x720"? And if so, how do I change that?
Not on this thread. There's no reference to DVCPRO50 on here.
Yes, you have to change the sequence settings to match your media. Use easy setup in the FCE menu. You may need to read a little of the manual to use this application.
I'll dive into the manual a little more. Ian R. Brown on this thread
