iSync can't sync in Nokia 3600 Slide

Hello all!
I had a Nokia 3600 Slide, it can't use iSync to sync contacts, so how can i do?
Thank you very much!

MacBook Pro 2.16, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

You need an iSync Plugin. Google for "nokia 3600 slide iSync plugin" to find various options.

I have the same problem.
The plugin Isync for the Phone Nokia 3600 does not exist at all . I asked to Nokia. They reply that we have to ask to Apple. Who knows how to ask to apple ?!

Hi all.

You can do your own plug-in yourself quite easily using the "iSync Plug-in Maker" provided with Developper Tools (Xcode).
I have built mine for the 2680 Slide and it is available here http://capheda.wordpress.com/2009/06/19/plug-in-isync-pour-nokia-2680-slide/

Plugins developed for Leopard should work fine in Snow Leopard.

Could you elaborate on that? Without more info its impossible to help you.

• what exactly doesn't work?
• does iSync recognise the phone?
• do you get any error messages?
• if so, what do they say?
• does it start to sync, then stop?
• does it sync only contacts, or only calendars, or nothing at all?

1. After loading of the plugin, I discovered that Nokia2600.phoneplugin was not in the Library. I dragged it from "download" (téléchargement) to "library"
2. Then I launched iSync : The phone is recognized but there is a message in french ""iSync is not available for <your phone>" "your phone" is the name of my phone... and that's it.

I've just checked the installer linked to above, and it installs the plugin in the correct place.

You need to double-click the "Plugin2680.dmg" to mount the disk image, then double-click the "Plugin2680.pkg" installer and follow the instructions.

It sounds as though you just dragged the downloaded .dmg into the Library folder, not actually installed it.

Thanks for answer.
I did that indeed but there is no new plugin in the Library/PhonePlugin folder.
Actually I have yet another plugin in that folder as I use another mobile phone, it's a Sony Ericsson C702. Is there any trouble wether two plugins shoul be placed in the PhonePlugin folder ?

You can have as many plugins as you want installed at the same time - as long as they are for different phones.

Thanks for publishing the plugin Yannick. The first few syncs worked fine, but now every time I sync, the phone says it's sending all my contacts and I get this error message:

Translation:
Wednesday ...
[Nokia ...] An error occurred while obtaining data from the telephone. It could be that the sincronization was cancelled on the phone.
An error occured sincroniziang the device "Nokia 2680s-2b"

Hi Peter.

Perhaps you put some data in your calendar that does not comply with 2680 limitation. I have not tested all the combinations and just made this plugin in few minutes...
Since I am not using my 2680 anymore I will not be able to continue developping it.

You can try to create your own plugin with the developper's tools provided by Apple in XCode.
