setting Poster Frame in YouTube...how?

I am trying to figure out how to control the poster frame in YouTube (called video thumbnail in YouTube). This is displayed by the iWeb widget, so it is important. YouTube gives you 3 poster frames to decide from, but none are desirable.

Is there a way to control which 3 poster frames YouTube generates for you to choose from?

Is there a timing formula for how they are chosen so you could get what you want?

Does setting the poster frame in iTunes (or other) before upload to youtube affect anything?

Thanks
bob

Hi Bob.

You can't control the poster frame/thumbnail for youtube. YouTube generates it automatically when you upload the video to their service.
It is widely believed that the main thumbnail is pulled from the center of the movie. So it is 3 minutes long, the 1:30 mark would be the thumbnail.
Some people try to edit in a poster frame for a couple seconds at the center of the video, but can look a bit odd when viewing straight through.
