How to stop: "Sure you want to use Firefox?" message
On my new mac with 10.5, I downloaded Firefox using Safari. Now every time I start Firefox I get a message asking if I want to use it since it was downloaded from the Internet. How do I shut that message off?
Are you sure you've installed it properly? When you first download Firefox, it will appear in a disk image on your desktop. Make sure you drag the enclosed application (the Firefox program itself) into your main Applications folder. Then eject the disk image, and launch Firefox from the Applications folder. You might see that message one more time, but on subsequent launches, you shouldn't.
If you have installed it properly into either /Applications or ~/Applications and it's still saying it's been downloaded from the internet then you can do the following
With Safari open, from the Menu Bar, click Window/Downloads. If the Firefox download is present there, click the Clear button at the bottom of that window. See if that helps.
