In simplistic terms "interference robustness" is a method used to reduce the negative effects of certain types of radiofrequency interference on wireless network data transmission. "Interference robustness" must be enabled on both the Base Station you are using as well as the wireless clients. Enabling interference robustness comes at the cost of reducing the effective range of a wireless network, and it should only be used as a means of reducing interference after one has already tried manually switching the Base Station to using a different (and hopefully clearer) channel.
