Is there anyway to stop Logic from following the playhead during playback?

Click on the little blue briskly walking fella on the top left corner. He goes gray, no following the playhead anymore.

There's a preference setting to "Enable catch when sequencer starts". This will always turn on catch when you hit play.

If you don't want this to happen, disable the preference by turning it off.

Help. How did it work for you? I had to turn off all global "catch" settings to get the blue man to turn grey and stay grey during play back, but the playhead still moves. Say I'm on beat 5 and I press play, and the timeline goes to beat 8 and I hit stop, the play head will be at beat 8, instead of beat 5. So if I want to hear it again, I have to move the playhead back to beat 5. It's very frustrating to have to keep moving the play head back, manually. It's even more frustrating if the only answer is to constantly have to more the in/out point of the green cycle, as you move around your project. please tell me there's an easy way, a la Pro Tools which has this functionality. Thanks for any advice...

Look in your Key commands window (⌥-K), type play in the little Spotlight field and all key commands involving play, will be there.
What you are looking for (I think) is *Stop or Play From Last Position*. It doesn't have a default key combo, so you'll have to assign one.
