Mail won't send

My email is driving me NUTS!!!

Every other day or week, it suddenly won't send messages - UGH!!! It's doing it again today. I get a message/pop-up box that says it can't send with the specified server - even though I haven't changed any settings on anything to do with mail. I'll run the Connection Doctor and everything comes up green and says it's fine, yet my email still won't go.

I just have the myname@mac.com email - I'm not even sure what a 'Pop' account is, which I've seen other posts about?? But I just have my email through Mac and am trying to send email from my desktop using the Mail Application.

Anybody have any idea why this keeps happening?

Chalk up another one that cannot send mail. I can receive it fine, can't reply or send new mail. This has been ongoing for about 2 weeks now. I am using Mac Mail with 2 AOL accounts and 1 gmail account. None of them will send.

Is it possible some sort of virus or trojan is causing this? I get lot's of spam but never open them.

Hoping for a fix soon!

I'm having the same issue! A mac mail account and 2 POP accounts refuse to send or reply to emails. I know that the accounts are fine since they send just fine from my iPhone and from anything other then Mac mail. This is obviously driving me crazy!

Same for me!

Using my Mac Bock, and MAIL doesn't send any e-mails!
I haven't any accounts on mac.com or me.com, but have other accounts!!

Other program like (Entourage) are working fine!
