where is the Mac Operating System stored on internal boot drive??

Hello all!

Wanted to ask... Where is the mac operating system (OS X 10.5.6) stored (by default) on a drive? I used SuperDuper to copy my boot drive and want to delete most everything, but keep the operating system in-tact (so I could still boot with that drive). I just don't want to delete it by accident when cleaning things up. THANK YOU!!!

Whatever you do stay away from invisible files. They belong to the operating system and deleting them could prove a disaster.

yeah, I hear ya. I'm just worried I might delete something I should keep, because the folders you just mentioned add up to more that my 30 gig capacity w/ my SSD. :/
