SD/MMC card reader

I recently upgraded from Tiger to Leopard. While using Tiger my SD/MMC card reader worked fine. Now, it won't pop open in either the finder, the desktop, or in iPhoto. When I look under the USB tab of the system profiler, the mass storage device is there. I've tried changing the preferences in finder, but that didn't work. I've also installed 10.5.7 combo, but that didn't work either.
Any ideas??
Thanks.

when I typed disktool -l I got this output:

*Disk Appeared ('disk0',Mountpoint = '', fsType = '', volName = '')
*Disk Appeared ('disk0s1',Mountpoint = '', fsType = '', volName = '')
*Disk Appeared ('disk0s2',Mountpoint = '/', fsType = 'hfs', volName = 'Macintosh HD')

When I used disk utility I only saw the hard drive and the optical drive. I assume that one of the 3 above is the card reader, maybe?

Here is what I get from the Console:
AppleUSBEHCI[0x3cd3000]::Found a transaction past the completion deadline on bus 0xfd, timing out! (Addr: 3, EP: 2)
Jun 3 18:08:19 Device4 kernel[0]: USBF: 34914.376 AppleUSBEHCI[0x3cd3000]::Found a transaction which hasn't moved in 5 seconds on bus 0xfd, timing out! (Addr: 3, EP: 0)
Jun 3 18:08:25 Device4 kernel[0]: IOHIDSystem::relativePointerEventGated: Capping VBL time to 20000000 (was 22252864)

Also, I double checked with my friend and she said that she hadn't updated to 10.5.7 yet, she's still running 10.5.6. So it could be a 10.5.7 issue.

Thanks,
Regina
