get my son new iMac G5 or iBook/Powerbook???

hello,
should I get my son a new iMac G5 or a laptop iBook or Powerbook?? He has a 4 year old iMac flatscreen computer, and would like to get another one for his current computer is starting crash and burn if you know what I mean...he has recently begun the 7th grade. Should I wait till' high school for a laptop or would he enjoy a laptop and have 2 computers more than just replacing his current computer with a G5? thanks, and please get back to me as soon as possible

Think about it..

You go and buy him this fully loaded iBook...

he looks at it... dissappointed... and says.. 'thanks'

and only then do u realized he wanted a powerbook or iMac....

Just get some input..

take him to the mall to buy shoes or somethin..

and be like.

"hey look an apple store" lets take a peek, i have been wantin to look at one of the ipod nanos

etc.

and get his input 🙂 (on a mac)

Gee, I sure hope he doesn't feel cheated having only Macs from which to choose. After all, maybe what he really wants is a nice mainframe.

Well, since $$ is not an issue..

what about a Xserve configureation?

Maybe say about 100 terabytes of storage. All w/ RAPTOR 74gig drives of course.

And ten 30'' displays..

u could even rent it out to NASA during the summer break 🙂
