Can't see the bottom of Photo Booth

Suddenly I can't see the bottom of Photo Booth to delete photos I don't like. The toolbar at the bottom is in the way. Making the toolbar smaller doesn't seem to help. This is a recent problem. It wasn't happening before. Did I do something to make this happen? Can I fix it? I'd appreciate any tips!

HI Patty...

Try deleting this file. com.apple.PhotoBooth.plist

/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. Drag that file from the Preferences folder to the Trash, empty the Trash and restart your Mac.

BTW, you posted this in the Safari for Mac forum.

Also, please click My Settings on the right side of this window and type in which Mac you have, scroll down and click Save. Thanks!

Hi Carolyn,

When I went back to delete the plist for Photo Booth, I noticed the plist for Finder file was there again. Did I run into some problem or does the file immediately replace itself after it is deleted? Is a plist like cookies--something that needs to be cleared out from time to time? Would it be beneficial to delete my iPhoto plist? I use iPhoto almost daily. Thank you so much for your help! I really appreciate the assist!

HI Patty,

Anytime you delete a .plist file, the next time, say for example, you launch the Finder, the Mac OS creates a new .plist file for you.

You can try deleting the PhotoBooth .plist file to see if functions as it should.

Hi Carolyn,

It didn't work. Here's some events that may or may not be pertinent but perhaps they are related. My left hand screen was getting darker so I increased brightness in Preferences? Can't recall. When I went in to do this, my resolution setting changed--I think. I couldn't recall what I had so I experimented with a few and kept getting not quite a whole screen view. It could be I have the resolution setting too big. Hopefully resolution is the right term--how large the screen display is. What is a recommended screen resolution--not too big--not too small. Feel like I'm doing Goldilocks and her bears ....

Goldilocks LOL good one!

Ok... open System Preferences/Displays and click the Display tab. Under Resolutions: Select 1680 X 1050. See if that helps.

You can also change this from the Status Menu Bar. (Top right in your screen) Click the logo that looks like an iMac.

Hi Carolyn,

This worked but everything is so small. I used to have a resolution that was larger but I could still see the bottom of Photo Booth. I can see the bottom of Photo Booth now but I'd like my print a bit larger and I'd like my open window to fill my screen. I have a 16" screen. Thanks!!
