Xserve Remote Login Issues

Well we have a g5 xserve and we cant seem to login. Someone has changed the password and we have no way to get it. We would try to just insert the Mac OS tiger Server disk and reset the password however the server has no graphics card so we cant conect. The remote desktop client made by apple-we dont even have it. We also have lost the Mac OSX install disks. We dont really know how we can connect to it. We have a computer lab full of Imac g5's but when ever we enter the ip adress it asks us for a login (name and a password). Is there anyway to connect so we can do a clean install of Leopard?
It has one hard drive and has a disk drive on the front-could we just insert the disk and try a remote connection?

Hi

Target Disk Mode the XServe to a client mac. Boot the client mac with any suitable installer disk. You should be able to change the admin account that way using the Reset Password Utility available on the Installer Disk.

Ultimately it would be best if you could install a PCI Graphics card in the XServe. What is difficult to understand is why anyone would set up a Server and not let anyone else know how to access it using appropriate account names and passwords. At the very least someone should write these things down.

I would also make a concerted effort to find the Server Installer Disk(s). You will need these if you end up having to re-install the Server. If you cant find them consider purchasing a replacement set.
