IPOD Mini Firmware Latest Version?

Hi;

I have a 2nd gen Ipod Mini with firmware version 1.4.1 Is this the latest update? I have a JVC car stereo with an Ipod device attached that will allow me to navigate the Ipod through the car stereo controls. It wont work with my mini, but I saw it working with friends newer ipod. So I am wondering if there are any updates that may allow my ipod to work with my car stereo.
