Does iTunes Support Unicode?

I have a good collection of Japanese music, and all the symbols are messed up.

Example:
⁄“‘˘¯‰ü

Is there any way I can get Japanese to render properly?

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.7), Self-Installed 320GB HD

I'm not completely sure that song was Japanese actually.

These two are definately Japanese. They should say something like:
"Studio Pixel" (picture [http://img43.imageshack.us/my.php?image=picture3hiv.png])
"Cave Story" (hiragana is どうくつ ものがたり)
