Installed update to 10.5.7 and now MacBook Pro will not connect to internet. Good signal from wireless network. Connects using USB wireless mobile broadband (shows time connected) but will NOT load internet pages or download email..... "Firefox can't find server at....."
Hold off on update to OS 10.5.7!!!!
How do I fix problem? Use wireless broadband mobile for work and wireless network at home. No connection at all at present with MacBook Pro. Using PowerPC G5 at present.
MacBook Pro,
Mac OS X (10.5.7),
PowerPC G5, 10.5.6
I'm encountering similar issue after installing OS X 10.5.7 on my iMac. After sleep, restart, or reboot, the internet connection would be lost. I would have to use Diagnostic button to restore the connection.
A new update was released this morning: 10.5.8 that says it has repaired issues with Airport. I will be installing this today to see if it solves the issue on my aluminum iMac at work. My connection comes in and out yet I am 15 feet from the wireless router.
10.5.8 fails to fix this issue for me, MacPro won't connect yet the MacBookPro sitting on the desk connects quickly with full strength. 'Connection Timeout'. Repaired permissions, rebooted, all the usual solutions fail.
