Instructions on how to rack an XServe?

can anyone point me towards a "how-to" document to rack an XServe please? I bought the rail kit for an old model XServe, which of course comes with zero instructions and I am finding it all very confusing.

If it makes any difference, the XServe model is one of these: http://support.apple.com/kb/sp72

Thank you

Installing the rackmount kit is described in Chapter 3 of the XServe Users' Guide.

Without knowing which model you have (the link you provided doesn't work for me) it's impossible to be specific, other than there have been two basic designs - for Intel-based XServes there are two rails that you attach to the rack, then you slide the XServe into the rails. For PowerPC-based XServes you first remove the lid of the server and mount that to the rack, then slide the server back into the lid.

You might be confused with the copious number of parts - due to numerous different rack designs Apple ship extra parts to give the broadest support for different rack depths, screw types, etc. so you won't use all the parts in the kit.
