Problems when capturing from a SONY VX1000 E with Final Cut 5.1.4
Hi,
when I try to capture video footage from a Sony VX1000 E via fire wire I get problems. Either the import stopps because of a missing time code or I receive the message "there is no video hardware". I tried the Fire Wire PAL and the Fire Wire Basic Protocol - no difference.
When I capture the very same cassette with my Sony DCR-PC2 and the same fire wire cable I have no problems at all.
The Sony VX1000 E is from 1995 - maybe it is not compatible with Final Cut 5.1.4 which I am running?
Has any one encountered similar problems?
