Powered Speakers

Question

Powered Speakers

I have an old pair of "Apple Design Powered Speakers" as a "gift" from a relative - but no literature. They look in perfectly new shape - but have no power supply with them. The Model number is M 2497, SN 4111KS. I haven't been able to even get recognition of the topic on Apple's Support web site.

Does anyone know how to help me as I would like to use them rather than just throw them away?

Hi Gramp,

If you have a look at the speaker with the volume control, do you see a DC voltage value somewhere near the power connector?

At least on my AppleDesign Powered Speakers II (also with Model number M2497) it says 12VDC (with + to the centre pin). The label on the AppleDesign Powered Speakers II AC Adapter indicates that the output is 12 V DC (750 mA).
