Importing songs from CD shows wrong language

Hi:

I bought one of those compilation CD sets from PBS. When I tried to import into iTunes 8.1.1 it asked me to choose between two database files, one had the disk number (100 Best Relaxing, CD 1) the other just had the name (100 Best Relaxing) so I of course chose the CD 1. When it populated the disk information, the name was in Chinese, and all of the other info was in English.

How do I reset iTunes so that I can get all English info before I import? I trashed the user/library/preferences/com.apple.iTunes.plist and that didn't work.

TIA for your help!

Macbook Pro 2.4 GHz, TiBook G4 667, AlBook 1.25, Mac OS X (10.5.5), Also running OS X 10.2, 10.3.9

It gets the song list whatever language it is in. You don't set a preference for a certain language.
If there is multiple, you select one (as you did).

You can insert the CD, go to iTunes menu Advanced - Get CD track names and then select the correct album.
