Well, I have already logged eight solid hours of SUPER-TECH Telephone Time.
What, you may ask could take Mac Genius Techs so long to fix on a brandy spankin' new machine?
No, I didn't ask them to build a special computer for me. I simply asked them to enable my e-mail to "SEND" & "RECEIVE"
As it turns out, the transfer of data from the old iBook managed to corrupt some application, program, etc. that would only allow receiving e-mail but not sending.
A very patient, determined and brilliant tech spent many hours and finally resolved the e-mail issue. Next, he had to learn why Microsoft Word wouldn't function.
Suffice it to say that the major glitches have been fixed however other unintended consequences developed so the saga goes on.
And to think that this all started with a notifier question that I could really less about at this stage of the game.
Anyway, my sincerest thanks to all who took their time to reply
Gotta run now. I see an e-mail has arrived (;-))
