Do scrollwheels work with OS9?

I've got a second hand-Logitech scrollwheel mouse, but no direct internet connection to the Mac (I have to use a PC at the moment for all internet use. Odd I know).

Running OS9.2.2, is there anything I'm overlooking that will allow my applications to recognise the scrollwheel functionality? Like in Internet Explorer, Word, Acrobat, Appleworks etc?

I'm usually quite brilliant at overlooking the obvious 🙂

I know Logitech ahs drivers for Mac OS 9 - I've used them myself. Logitech's Mouse Driver page lists their many mice - most having Mac OS drivers available in the OS menu to the left.

If your mouse doesn't ahve specific drivers available, you may be able to use software from a similar mouse - it's all called Mouseworks, I believe.

I'm currently using a wireless Logitech mouse with scroll wheel in both 10.3.9 and 9.2.2. The 9.2.2 version actually has more functionality. All you need is to download the driver.

Thanks Kyle, I'll do that. This means going to a friends house who has Windows XP that can recognise portable flash drives (I can't believe this Win 98 box I'm using can't do this), and download the driver onto it.
