iweb help!

I have made a second site from a second computer now my second site connects to my first. At the bottom of the iweb page it says my other website and I can't figure out how to change it. Basically my problem is that I made a 1st website and gave it a go daddy domain name. It has worked great. Now I made a 2nd site from another computer and gave it a go daddy domain name but it connects me to the 1st website!!! Now when i type in the first wed address it connects me to the second and when i type in the 2nd web address it goes to a a google page that has not been set up. I've tried apple support and nobody understands me! Can someone please help me????? These are both business websites and so business is down while these are not working.

THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP!

Leo:

You're going to have to help an ailing old amphibian here. Where in the open iWeb application do you see the account name/site name? The only place in iWeb where the account name is displayed is in the Site Publishing Settings window that I can find. I don't see anything at the bottom of any window in iweb.

I'm assuming that the account name we're trying to help out here with is pearpeonies@me.com which looks like an email to me but maybe the email address was used as the account name.

Hello Old Toad,

As a middle aged mammal, I take great pride having some distant relatives of you in my little pond in the middle of a city. They are very happy with all the damselflies and dragonflies. LOL

The account name/site name appears on the bottom of iWeb, next to the green light (green = OK)
As it reflects my personal domain name, set in MM, maybe it only shows if you have set up a personal domain name in MM ?

I presume you are logged in to MM and that iWeb has access to MM.

Here is how it looks (for me) :

Hello brittanylee,

Please correct if I got it wrong.

You have 2 computers, 2 MobileMe accounts, 2 websites and 2 personal domain names.

On computer 1
iWeb website : dowdleflowers
MobileMe account : brittanyfenton
Personal Domain name : www.dowdleflowers.com

On computer 2
iWeb website : pear&Peonie
MobileMe account : pearpeonies
Personal Domain name : www.pear-peonies.com

You still have problems with settings for computer 2 ?

Kind regards,
Leo

It looks like you've published the pear&peonies site to the MMe account brittanyfenton. Check the iDisk/Web/Sites folder for the brittanyfenton account and see what the site folder name is.

This URL: http://web.me.com/brittanyfenton/index.html takes me to the pear&Peonies site.

With URL forwarding I like to use the URL to the first page in the site. In the pears case it woujld be

http://web.me.com/brittanyfenton/Pear%26Peonies/Welcome.html

Of course if you move that site to the the other account, pearpeonies the URL would be

http://web.me.com/pearpeonies/Pear%26Peonies/Welcome.html

The & sign gets replaced by %26 . Using "and with no spaces would be more efficient IMO.

Yes thats right but I made the mistake of publishing both websites to brittanyfenton account. I tried to fix it after so at the bottom of the first iweb page it said brittanyfenton(www.dowdleflowers.com) and the second site said pearpeonies(www.dowdleflowers.com)

Now the 1st iweb says brittanyfenton(dowdleflowers.com)
The 2nd says pearpeonies(pear-peonies.com) but they are still not correcting right. There has to be something simple that i'm missing, it seems like I have already fixed all the hard stuff...
