Aiport Extreme, Sony PSP Remote Play via Internet and Telnet
I have an Airport Extreme 802.11n and am happily using it.
The only thing I am having a problem with is "Remote Play via Internet" with a Sony PSP. The idea is that I can use the PSP to turn on and explore my PS3 wherever I can access a wireless network. I can connect my PSP via Remote Play within my home network without issue, but I have not been able to outside.
I have explored the web and these forums for an answer and think this is presently a unique topic. I have tried connecting my PS3 via ethernet cable to my Airport Extreme, I have tried all sorts of network settings and I have tried opening different ports, all to no avail. Presently, my PS3 has a dedicated internal IP address and the Remote Play via Internet port (9293) are open on both TCP and UDP.
After a fruitless week of trying, I was given a set of instructions that is meant to help configure a router for PSP Remote Play via Internet and it involves Telnet. Unfortunately, I cannot connect to the router with telnet (I have tried a number of ports, the default being 23). So I didn't get past stage one of the instructions.
If anyone can help me here, I would be most grateful.
