Just a little suggestion before I head off to bed:

If you plan on calling Apple Support tomorrow to inquire about your shipping delivery date... they open the phones at 5am PST. So I would call right at 5 if I were you.

I suspect lots of ****** off customers tomorrow will mean very long waiting times.

wooohooo, mine has a departure scan in my hometown, it is on it's way to me!!! but ups usually doesn't get to my house until around 7 pm

Departure scan at 6:23 in Chicago, I live in Chicago, all is well!. On its way to me as of 15 minutes ago.

Unfortunately the storms we had woke me up at 3:30, ruining my plans to just wake up at 6 when my husband went to work so I could wait all morning. I suppose I'll just be that much more groggy when I greet the UPS guy in my rather unflattering pajamas.

Well, mine arrived at my home town area at 3:42 am this morning. What I don't understand is the package departed from LOUISVILLE, KY 50 minutes earlier. It
took just 50 minutes from KY to California? Anyway, it looks like I'm going
to get it today as promised. I ain't going to sleep now. 🙂

Ok UPSs's tracking is totally wacked. It departed from KY at 4:18AM and got to Peoria, IL at 4:25AM. So it took 7 min to travel the distance that is about a 6 hour drive. Are the flying the concord or something? I think this just proves that there is more than meets the eye with this tracking system. Our phones probably weren't stuck in alaska they just weren't updating the tracking info. It be interesting to follow one of these packages to see how it flowed compared to tracking.

Real time tracking, hummm, I wonder if there's an app for that? 😉

haha my thoughts exactly, as mine went from KY to Chicago between 4:48 and 5:09. I realized that there could be the time difference, though, and 4:48 there is 3:48 here... however, a little over an hour for a flight? I don't know. For me it just verified that tracking has been a little off.

On hold with Apple while they try to find out why my package says this:

edit: apple told me that I need to call UPS. UPS told me that the package was held by the Government and that Apple didn't use the right kind of shipping anyways to make sure it was delivered today.

ok, so it has departed, BUT it definitely got delayed a bit due to weather. Second, I live 45 min. from Chicago and usually my packages aren't delivered directly from the Chicago location. I am going to assume it's on its way to the Michigan City distribution center, sorted and then on its way here...looking like a long day of waiting.

Sorry to ask but are you associated with Al-Qaeda? That will be the only explanation, IMO.

I heard that the order status was incorrect and that several people were recieving emails saying it would arrive today by 3PM via Federal Express.

Checked UPS this morning, looks like it finally left Kentucky last night and arrived in Oakland. Says delivery 19th! 🙂

This is kind of hard to believe. They most likely used the same packing for everything....so how is it after how many of these things go through there that they hold 1? Maybe security likes iphones lol...i don't know.

Odd; mine doesn't have a weather note. It simply says arrival scan in Chicago at 5:09 and departure scan in CHicago at 6:23. When I check boxoh.com, I have all that, plus the fact that it's in transit to Northbrook IL. I like just south of Evanston, so it makes sense that there's probably some sort of distribution center in Northbrook.

oooh! Just before I was about to hit post, I checked again; both sites say out for delivery, coming from Northbrook. Maybe I'll get a late morning nap after it gets here. meh, I wish I had something better to do with my time today. ha.

Even though mine says 2-day delivery & it is expected on the 22nd, I now see that it is on the vehicle for delivery.
