NO WIFI OR BLUETOOTH after 3.0 update on my IPhone 3g
So I did the 3.0 update and now my phone does not seem to recognize my wifi and bluetooth. It is as if the hardware is missing. It is not that I cannot connect, it says "No wifi" "No bluetooth" and is greyed out where I cannot click on the setting for either. I have restored like 10 times and nothing. This is very upsetting. Anyone having this problem or have any suggestions for fixing it?
Thanks
Thanks for your suggestion. I can't do that because both options in settings are "greyed out" so there is nothing for me to open and change. Its not a connection issue or at least I think its not because I can't even click the options in settings.
wow so this is a widespread issue. i'm seeing threads pop up all over the place. i just made an appt with a "genius" in 20mins. hopefully they'll just hand me a new phone with 3.0 loaded and functional wifi.
Me too! Have tried soft resets to no avail. Can't restore to factory default but Apple server too busy.
In the process of the upgrade I also received an error message that forced me to restore to factory default but was able to restore some settings (email etc) from the ITunes backup. Did lose all my apps though!!
Same problem here...'No wifi' in Settings, greyed out, no option to select anything. Tried restarting the iPhone but no luck. Upgrade to 3.0 failed first time around (iTunes saying I needed to enter iPhone passcode but iPhone not asking for it, so was stuck and had to factory restore).
If the steps in the article don't resolve the issue, make a reservation with a Genius here:
