Bluetooth car stereo paired with iPhone but how do you play the music
Calls work fine in my car and voice recording fro the new app work fine with car stereo Bluetooth but I can't play my music. I don't even see an option to select the audio output type.
Btw, audi a3 system.
Just got the Volk-l hands-free bluetooth installed in my 2007 GTI. The phone portion works fine but music does not stream. There isn't even an icon to choose bluetooth as an audio output. Lame. Expensively lame.
Have you been able to figure out the auto connect yet? I've got the
Pioneer DEH-980BT and iPhone 3Gs. Works great except turn off car I have to re-pair it! I dont think the Phonebook transfer works either did you get it to work? I was able to browse the phone list though.
Any help would be great!!

I have not been able to autoconnect yet with the iPhone 3G.
I have not been able to get BT Music (A2DP) to work without audio drops every 5-6 seconds.
I have not been able to use the Phonebook transfer feature at all.
The only thing that works is manually connecting and making calls. and I have a complaint from my wife that the volume on hte other end of the calls is extremely low 😟
Do you (or any one else monitoring this thread), know of a way to update the firmware on the pioneer unit? (if there is one ... I was not able to find it).
Based on the reports on these forums however, I do not believe it is the Pioneer's problem, as my previous phone (BlackBerry Pearl) worked fine in ALL aspects.
I am tempted to go back to a blackberry ... better in car experience, call quality and battery life (unless Apple can fix this in a future update)
Havent had problems with Audio Drop outs...
No Auto Connect!!
Sometimes (after turning car off and starting it back on) I noticed that the bluetooth symbol on the iphone is grayed out instead of being blue? I think in the bluetooth area on the iphone it says not connected?
I've followed all the online instructions to "register the phone" etc... but no luck!
I dont know if the iphone 3.1 update will fix?
I saw that someone said that the newer model pioneers will work but I spent $600 on the 980BT not to long ago and Im not into spending $400ish (DEH-7100BT) more dollars for a new radio!! When I thought the one I was originally buying was going to do the trick.
