iPod touch (1st Gen) slower since FW 3.0

Has anyone noticed that the 1st Gen iPod runs slower with the new OS? I upgraded yesterday and it feels slower when opening apps oder scrolling on webpages.

Anyone else?

1G Touch user here,
I have your problem too, mostly in App store and iTunes store on the Touch is incredibly slow and takes sometimes a minute to load up a simple page

playing music on my 1st gen ipod touch is slower since 3.0. after i synch now, it gives me a message saying "updating library ... this may take a few minutes". i did not get this message before. plus, if i try to play a playlist with lots of songs (1000+) the controls are very sluggish, taking 10 - 15 seconds to skip between tracks.

My 1st gen 32GB touch is horrifically slow now. The main way I have noticed it is by connecting it to my ipod compatible car head unit. It used to produce the artist list quite quickly but now it takes an age. I haven;t played games on it as I now have a 3GS so just use it for music. Its terrible.

I'm going to use the restore function else I'm calling apple for a refund and details how to go back to 2.2
