Does the movie play properly when played through the quicktime player?
After I import my imovie file into iDVD I lose the audio and instead hear a popping buzz sound when I run preview. What causes this and what's the fix?

Hi David
I got a similar problem and it was due to that I had a TV-card in my Mac
and a Cable network antenna. When disconnecting the antenna the hum
disappeared.
Suggestion:
Disconnect all cables and wires to Your Mac.
Keep mains and if possible nothing else and test again.

Hansell and Bengt,
Thanks for your comments. I solved this buzzing problem as a result of one or more of the following procedures:
Runing the Onyx cache cleaner on default list plus system.cache.
Deleting the iDVD.plist
Running the permissions repair utility (DiskUtility)
Then the buzz went away when I ran in the preview mode.
However, iDVD 05 still fails to burn DVD's with the 34506 error, as I've indicated in other posts.
