Audio - left / right channel balance

Is there a way to correct the balance between the left and right audio channels in iMovie 08? I have some video in which one channel is significantly hotter than the other - and I would like to get a good stereo blend, of course....

Is there a solution?

Hi

Not in any iMovie version - BUT

Export out as QuickTime and Audio only and as .aiff

Open in an Audio-Editor eg Audacity (free - Google it)

Here adjust what's needed then Save

Re-import into iMovie and use insteade.

This works great in iMovie up to version HD 6

Should work on iM'08 and 09 too.

Thanks Bengt...

So..

1) I extracted audio, fixed it, and saved it.

2) I made a copy of the video with the (bad) sound deleted.

Now - it's a 60 minute video, but I want to be able to cut it into several pieces. So, do I have this right?

a - create a new project with the video
b - add sound
c - export as movie
d - create a new event with the "fixed" movie (now with the adjusted/corrected sound)
e - create the new projects (the severals pieces I want)
