Can Screen Protectors Damage the Oleophobic Coating Screen & Back?

I've read that the Oleophobic coating on the new iPhone 3GS can be damaged by applying any existing screen protectors, i.e. Zagg Invisible Shield, Bodyguardz, Power Support Crystal film and etc. Can anyone confirm this because I really don't feel safe in having my iPhone naked with no protection.

I have the iPhone 3GS and yesterday bought the static-cling "Crystal Film" version sold at the Apple Store made by Power Support (they sell 2 versions, matte or crystal). I too was worried about he oleophobic coating, but was guaranteed by the Apple employees that this type of protector is idea because it does not use adhesive. And they are right. It slides right on, it is totally invisible and is sturdy and secure. I highly recommend this brand. When I tell you it's invisible, it really is! Best screen protector I've ever had, and it won't mess with the screen coating.
