iTunes gift card buy, redeem & use!!!

Hi,

since the iTunes store is taking AGES to become available here in Jordan and i am stuck with free App's, i thought about letting one of my friends buy me an iTunes Gift card and redeem it here in Jordan into my account and buy applications for my 3G!!

now will that work??
and is the gift card an actual card or do they e-mail you the cod or what??
will i be able to redeem it here in Jordan and use it to buy applications???

coz this honestly *****, the iPhone has been available since December and till now i am not able to register a credit card onto my iTunes Store Account!!!

Sorry but no. Gift cards are valid only in the country in which they're purchased. And the terms of use of the App Store prohibit use of a country' store from outside of that country.

we have the right to buy applications, movies, TV Shows and all of that, i wonder why it is taking Apple AGES to get us iTunes account with the ability to buy not just download free stuff!!!

how can i get in touch a bit more directly???

there are LOTS of stuff i want to buy but i can't coz we can' have an account fully functioned, we can't get a gift card to use, we can't register a credit card... that's ****** me off to be honest!!

and after saying this this reply might get deleted but i have a right to talk what i am annoyed about!!!

No, you don't have the "right" to buy anything that the owners of those rights haven't chosen to sell. If the movie studios, for example, don't want to sell electronic downloads in Jordan, they don't have to. Apple can 't force them to do so.

They made the iPhone available, why not to make everything that follows available, forget about the movies, i care for APPLICATIONS, owners didn't write all the App's for a couple of regions, u have that a bit wrong my friend! most of the others countries that have the ability to buy Applications aren't better than here! this is an issue with Apple not the owner of an App or a studio, if studios do not want to sell here they won't be brining their DVDs and CDs to here!!

Sorry, but you're the one that's wrong. Many software developers deliberately do not release their applications for all countries. Often they don't have the resources to localize an application for every region and language, and in some cases they don't want to expand beyond their ability to support and so restrict distribution only to one or a few countries. In addition, some countries also have laws against the import and sale of certain types of applications.

There could be a number of reasons why Apple has not opened an App Store in Jordan; there could be insufficient network infrastructure resources, they may not feel that the number of customers justifies the necessary investment, or there could be legal barriers (or some combination of all of those factors and more). There's no way for any of us here to know. But you can be sure that it's not just some whim of Apple or a desire to pick on you.
