Please don't type in ALL CAPS, it is painful on the eyes and the online version of shouting.

Pages does not allow what is called spreads ie side by side pages to be printed as one.

However you can get around this. Set up your paper size in Page Setup… :

+Menu > File > Page Setup… > Paper Size: > Manage Custom Sizes… (bottom of list) > click on little plus sign under window > Change "Untitled" to 11x17 > Page Size: 17" width 11" height > Leave rest as Printer Margins: User defined 0/0/0/0 > OK+

Now you need to set up the layout with 2 pages to each page of the document:

page 4 | page 1

page 2 | page 3

Then layout the text and images accordingly.

When it is finished and you want to print them Duplex this will depend on your printer but usually you just feed them back in upside down (test for orientation) to do the 2nd side.

If you need further assistance just ask.

I have tried using a program called "Cocoa Booklet", which will create a booklet out of a regular 8.5 x 11 pages document. It works well; however, I find I lose file size/quality when I run the conversion.
You can run a search on the internet for this program and it is free.
If anyone reading this post has input on how to maintain original full quality and file size when converting to 11 x 17 format with Cocoa Booklet, could you discuss that as well?
Thanks, and good luck to Perryryan.

You hardly need *Cocoa Booklet* to create a 4 page folded brochure!!!

As a first alternative you could take the standard individual pages and assemble them manually in appropriately larger .pdfs using any DTP or postscript drawing application, including Pages itself.

You could also look at *Swift Publisher* which has many of the more professional features in an application of similar cost and simplicity (actually better) to Pages. It has imposition built in, as well as bleeds, crop marks and real master pages.
