AirPort Express problem after update 7.4.2

My AirPort Express is behaving strange after updating it with the latest firmware (7.4.2). It works fine to send music to my stereo via iTunes, but Airfoil is not working anymore. Everything seems fine on the computer with Airfoil (no errors are displayed), but no sounds from the stereo....

macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.7)

I'm having the same problem after updating the Airport firmware. I have the latest version of Airfoil. Tried restarting computer, restarting Airport, and quitting/restarting Airfoil - none of that worked.

Hi I'm having the same problem with Airfoil after updating to version 7.4.2. But in the settings (of my Express) I changed back to v7.4.1 and now Airoil works fine.

Ok, I got it: go to AirPort Utility and right click on the image of the Express, choose Upload Firmware and upload 7.4.1.

Airfoil works fine now!

The solution is to go back to the older firmware (7.4.1).
This problem is only partially solved, since the new version 7.4.2 for Airport Express doesn't seem to be compatible wit Airfoil.

Folks,
The firmware update did break Airfoil, but Airfoil and Airfoil for Windows have both been updated for full compatibility with AirPort Express firmware 7.4.2. There's no need to downgrade your firmware, just get the latest version(s) of Airfoil.

Sadly you are wrong - I have upgraded to Firmware 7.4.2 - iTunes error -15000

Upgrade Airfoil to 3.3.1 - error 500 server error - its totally shafted

I've downgraded to 7.4.1 and it seems fine again. Firmware 7.4.2 is complete rubbish - do they ever check this stuff?

Can anybody provide me with the file associated with 7.4.1? I upgraded both units before realized that I can't use Airfoil with 7.4.2. If somebody could send it my way, I'd greatly appreciate it as I can't find it on the Apple site.

I downgraded to 7.4.1 - any combination of TCP/IP V6 "automatic" or "off" and any other hint provided by Apple, always gave me a (-15000) error. I won't be so quick to jump on the bandwagon next time...

To add insult to injury - 7.4.2 refuses to work (-15000) with iTunes on the Mac OS X partition,
however, when I switched to the Bootcamp Windows xp partition, and on Windows iTunes and 7.4.2 works perfectly... Darn..

I'm having the same problem. Also, when using airfoil to stream spotify to airport express the music keeps skipping (via toslink optical to DAC)! I've tried everything but just can't get it to work. Airtunes in itunes works fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
