Same problem. NONE of my third party apps will load after the 3.0 update!
Also after the 3.0 update iCal went off the rails-pulling single occurrence events from years ago and repeating them EVERY day for eternity. tried deleting events at the original date and selecting delete all future occurrences, but after relaunching iCal the events would be back!
This does work, but I wonder if there is a setting in the Voice Memo app so that it can be saved as mp3 instead of m4a? I want to email memos to my secretary, but she cannot seem to open those on her PC.
I still wish there was a way of emailing them as mp3 files, as many people (shockingly, I know) don't have iTunes on their computer, instead using the Windows music player.
You can convert them individually, then email them.
1. Sync your iPhone with iTunes (make sure you have Sync Voice Memos option checked under Music tab)
2. In your iTunes library go to iTunes > Preferences > General and under "When you insert a CD" click on Import Settings...
3. Change that to MP3.
4. Go to your iTunes library and find your voice memo (sort by Date Added or use search feature)
5. Right click on the Voice Memo and choose Create MP3 Version
6. Find the newly created MP3 version (it should be right under or above the original if you are sorted by name; if you are sorted by date, scroll to the most recently added, b/c it will be considered a recent add)
7. Right click on the song title and choose Show in Finder
8. Finder will open to where the Voice Memo is--remember this location or drag the MP3 version to your desktop to email
Voila! I know it sounds like a lot, but it's not that much and you'll remember it after you repeat it a couple times.
Is there any other way to get Voice Memos onto your computer besides the option you just showed us?
I manually manage my music and it will just be ridiculous if I sync all of my music with my iPhone
just to get one or two Voice Memos.
The memos I want to send are each over five minutes, so I'd have to trim them in order for them to send and then I'd lose so much of what I have. Why is Apple so stupid with some things?
I use VR+ in appstore. Choosing medium setting results in very good quality mp3 which I just email to my secretary - way better than the default app in all respects - no need to faff around installing itunes.
You don't have to delete anything. Leave manually manage music and videos checked and sync the phone. Manual management only applies to songs, videos and podcasts. You have to sync to transfer anything else.
