Section Breaks, frustration and general madness

Hi, this has been killing me for hours.

I have a 12 page document, I want to move page 6 to the end, but if I select it, all pages from 6-12 are grouped and moved as 1. This is not what I want.

I've done some research and it seems that my lack of section breaks is to blame (not something I've ever had to deal with in dare I say it, MS Word).

So, now ive gone through my document and dutifully added section breaks in appropriate places BUT now I have 1 extra blank page after every section THAT I CANT DELETE.

Now i'm fairly certain this is user error, but its a user error that Word didnt make me encounter. can someone please tell me how to reorder my pages or sort out remove randomly added blank pages after each section break!

many many many thanks!

Thanks for the help.
I knew about the Layout break - what I wanted was a workaround for a problem with Merge - which will only personalize a whole page - so if I attempt labels I get a whole page of the same label rather than 20 different labels!
I thought that if I could use a section break, I might be able to force a new label (because Merge in Pages has no way of specifying <next record>!
The Layout break still gives me a whole page of the same label.
I posted my question regarding the creating of a page of mailing labels (from a set of different records - Yvan has developed a way using Applescript) - but this is clearly a function I will have to continue to use Word for. Perhaps the ability to specify records will be in the next iteration of Pages.

I had a similar problem earlier in the year, I was moving house and wanted to attach my mew address on the reverse of the christmas cards we were sending.

Apple seems to feel that "labels" are a function of Address Book, and nothing else.

Coming from PC where Word does exactly what you want (labelwise at least), this I thought was a considerable inconvenience!

Why not try the free app delivered by Avery?

What need for a link to an address list to do that?
A powerHammer is not the best tool to kill a fly.

A simple Pages document in which we drop a vcard is perfectly sufficient.

Is it useful to tell you that the chapter 11 of the Pages User Guide is entitled:
*Personalizing Documents with Address Book and Numbers Data* ?

It gives all the required informations required to do what you are asking about !
Here is a short excerpt:
*To insert sender data:*
• Open a document that contains sender fields, such as a letter template. Pages automatically inserts data from your My Card in Address Book into the fields. If the card doesn’t contain data for any of the sender fields, the field label continues to be displayed.
• If you want to use data other than the data on your My Card as sender field data, drag an Address Book card or vCard to a sender field in the document. The new card’s data is applied to all sender fields in the document.
• Numbers document data cannot be used for Sender information.
