Itunes store language

Recently my Itunes store is only in Dutch. I am an expat living in Amsterdam and I did create my account here. I said that I live in the netherlands but it gave me the option of using English as my preferred language. This worked fine, but recently (I assume after an update) my Itunes store only displays in dutch. I tried changing the country at the bottom but it says I can only use the Dutch store.

Anyone know if I can change this? Thanks!

Yes - not only that but the OSX App store also.

SOme mino things still comming up in Dutch but a great improvement.

Yes, just noticed a few words still coming up in Dutch. Never mind, at least it's a BIG step in the RIGHT direction at long last. Thank you iTunes. 🙂

I also see English - but, you say there's a setting somewhere? Can you point me in the right directon? (Or are we speaking about the AppleID setup?)

I am not sure what your asking, but if you have English set as the language for your Mac, then the store should now also be in English. If not, just go to your account setting for iTunes. As soon as you access the account, your should get the language changed (its like it forces a read of the language settings).

Ah, so it's Apple-automagic... My Macs, iPhones and iPads and AppleID are all set to English, so nothing more for me to do. Excellent!

Finally Apple respects it's own app guidelines (respecting the user's default language) - now to march through my iTunes collection and get rid of all those Dutch categories! Wheeee! 😁

I'm guessing that it automatically goes to the language of whatever iTunes is set up in, so you could may be have your computer set up in one language and your iTunes in another and the iTunes language would take precedent.

Anyway, it's about time, just wish I could have the same when it comes to websites as I'm also fed up having to keep changing a websites language from the one it keeps reverting to of the country I'm in using my IP address. It would be nice if they could pick up the language of my computer without me having to struggle to find the options to change it all the time...
