How can I retrieve deleted text messages

My BF deleted several text messages on his iphone. I suspect he is cheating on me. Since he deleted those text messages he has sync'd his iphone with our pc and downloaded the 3GS upgrade. Can those deleted text be retrieved? Are they on his iphone or on the pc now since he has sync'd it?

Please help! If those deleted text can be retrieved from iphone or pc please, in detail, tell me how. BTW, my pc runs on XP OS. Thank you.

You can't UNLESS they are still backed up in iTunes. If they've been deleted and then you've synced, they're gone. Finite.

Just so I'm clear...the text were deleted on the iphone and the iphone trash been or deleted file was emptied/deleted. Then the next day the iphone was sync'd with itunes on our pc to download the 3GS upgrade and some music, etc.

So your saying the text are gone forever even on the itunes on our pc?

As I understand it, unless you restored the phone, yes, the messages are gone. If you had known you wanted the messages, you could have restored the phone from an old backup.
