Playing voice mail through car audio

I don't know how I did it.... I went to listen to my voicemail in the car yesterday and low and behold, the messages played through my car speakers. This has never happened before and try as I might, I can't get it to happen again. I have the new 3GS paired to my 2007 Acura MDX handsfreelink. Does anyone know how I "accidentally" got this to work? This never happened with my old 3G phone. It would be so nice to be able to hear my voicemail messages through the car speakers! It sure seems if it can happen once, we can get it to happen again 🙂 Any ideas???

I have a 09 Acura TSX and I use the speaker feature all the time. It's called "HandsFreeLink" and is a standard feature on Acura's. I just checked the 2007 MDX manual and you have the feature too. It seems you're one of those people who don't read manuals.... 🙂

You should have 6 buttons on the iphone screen when you're in a call. The top right usually says "Speaker" (for speakerphone) when the phone is not paired with the car.
When your iPhone is paired with the car, it'll change to "Audio Source". Hit the button and you'll have 3 choices to choose from: 1) HandsFreeLink 2) iPhone 3) Speaker
Just hit "HandsFreeLink" and you're good. This feature lets you talk on the phone using the mic that should be built into your MDX.
There is a button on the left side of your steering wheel with a phone icon on it. That button is used for this feature. Good luck!
