Where do I find an IP-address for CNAME set up?

Hi everybody

I have just created a blog in Iweb and now I want to publish it to my own personal domain (www.lkudsk.dk).
I have added my domain at mobileme under personal domain and I have set Iweb to publish via mobileme.
I have contacted my domain registrar and asked them to set up my domain so that I can use mobileme/Iweb.

To set up CNAME they asked for an IP-address but I haven't got one from Mobileme or appel
So they set my account up for we-alias instead.

Where do I find an IP-address for CNAME set up?
Right now my blog is online at http://web.me.com/larskudsk/Lkudsk/Kudsksløbe_blog_.../Kudsks_løbe_blog....html
But I want it to be online at www.lkudsk.dk
Right now www.lkudsk.dk is showing the front page of Mobileme (Apple.com/mobileme)

Thanks in advance

/Lars Kudsk

CNAMES do not use IP addresses. They are supposed to set the www CNAME to web.me.com. If they don't understand this, you might want to find another place to keep your name.

If they want nameservers, these are also irrelevant for MobileMe.

An A Record could use an IP address. It should be the one for web.me.com, which anyone can find via any of the countless sites that provide IP's when you type in the domain name.

That's because they are forwarding it to web.me.com. That needs to be changed to web.me.com/username for it to work.

Those folks certainly do not appear to understand very much about this.

If you are using CNAME forwarding, then you only forward the www and @ to web.me.com. That's it. If you are using masked web forwarding, then you would forward to web.me.com/username, but not with CNAME - this is only ever web.me.com.

You are correct. I left out the "url" before the "forwarding" in my post. When I went to his site, I found they had done url forwarding to web.me.com.
