Permanently disabling iWork updates

I am in the process of deploying iWork to a number of teaching labs and need to silence the update notifications given by the iWork apps themselves.

A snoop of the three .plist files sitting in ~/Library/Preferences has revealed nothing useful, and the apps themselves contain no Preference for disabling the check for updates.

Any ideas?

You didn't search carefully.

In
Macintosh HD:Users:<yourAccount>:Library:Preferences:com.apple.iWork.Keynote.plist
Macintosh HD:Users:<yourAccount>:Library:Preferences:com.apple.iWork.Numbers.plist
Macintosh HD:Users:<yourAccount>:Library:Preferences:com.apple.iWork.Pagess.plist
We may see a Sibling named:
SFLDefaultsNextUpdateCheck
It's value is the date of the next attempt to check if an update is available.
Mine is set to 05/05/2020
So, it will not check for an update before this date.
