Call Waiting Tone

Why is it that when someone calls me and I'm currently on a call, the party I'm talking to can hear the call waiting tone? I don't think this was an issue in previous software revisions (1.x), but it certainly is now(2.x+). When in a conference call or other important phone call, this is very obnoxious.

Yeah, people can clearly hear the call waiting Tone and always ask me "if I want to take that" which is annoying and clearly not how it's supposed to work. Apple/Anyone have a solution?

this is still an ongoing issue. Hopefully OS 4.0 will resolve this.

My brothers have 3g and both have this problem, I've got a 2g and it's fine. I don't know if it's the phone or the OS. Anyone know?

Call waiting tone still an issue on iOS4 for me when I use the headset with my 3GS.

This problem seems to persist even to this day. Does anyone have a workaround?
