Enable Hardware Virtualization On Mac Pro 8 Core April 2007
VMWare won't let you use a 64bit os as a guest.
Mac Pro Dual Quad 3.0GHz 8GB - iMac 24" 2.4GHZ 4GB - Macbook Black 2.4GHz 4GB, Mac OS X (10.5.4)
Apple Engineering came back last week and had me drop the macpro at my local apple store, needles to say they replaced both physical CPU's with a matching pair and voila.
Glad to say the problem was solved, I am now able to run VT (Virtualization at 64bit)
