The 'screensaver' effect - as a video

As a screen saver on my iMac, I have set “Present slides in random order > Collage Style > Classic”
The effect is of my photos as white-edged postcards falling, all in full color, onto the Desktop.

I would like to use this exact effect as a video of my photos.

The closest thing in iPhoto is called “Snapshots”. In this, the photos appear bigger, more slowly
and only from the bottom of the screen and, as each new photo appears, the previous photo
turns Black and White - a picture is only in color as it enters.

This is NOT the effect that I want.

Is it possible to make a video of my photos in the Random/Collage Style/Classic
with ALL the photos staying in color?

That's not available in iPhoto. The closest thing to that in iMovie is the Bulletin Board theme. There are 3rd party slideshow apps that have themes that might get close to that. One is PhotoPresenter which has over 25 animated themes. This demo page has examples of 8 of them: PhotoPresenter Animated Slideshow Themes.

You can download it and try the demo mode. I'm not sure but the Floating Photos theme may be the closest you can get to the mosaic screensaver.
