Component AV Cable vs Composite Av Cable . need help
i went and got Composite AV cable today to connect 3G iphone to my Tv. i can only view videos in Black/White only on My Samsung TV . TV seems to have only Component option , no sign of Composite option to switch to. could it be the reason why i can only watch videos in Black/White? of Composite cable should work anyhow.
In iphone preferences i tried every possible setting , NTL ,PAL , Wide Screen on/off noting worked
Composite and Component are two different things. Even though they both use a couple of the same color coded cables, it doesn't mean you can plug one into the other. If you bought Composite and only have Component jacks, that is your issue. All cables need to be jacked into all jacks for that type of cable. No extras hanging off to side and no jacks left out.
Thx for replying. TV has 5 ins audio left/right and 3 component ins labeled Pr, Pb and Y . hmm i just looked at the box and it only show 3 jacks. Component has 5 jacks according to Component AV Cable description on apple's website. i think i picked up wrong cable...
Yeah, that was it swopped over to Composite AV cable now its all good. only thing is that video is glitchy and colors are .. i don't know how to describe it .. its not justified to me to watch video on TV , quality is bad.i think its the tech limitation...
