Sort by ratings in App store

Wow almost 4yrs to the date the OP posted this and the problem persists. I'm not an "app fiend" like some ppl I know, but I have been trying to get a few fitness and other entertainment apps, but found out its IMPOSSIBLE to sort by rating in iTunes >:(

I think, as someone posted here too, in the iPhone or iPad's App Store, the rating is visible in the LIST of related apps (but not sortable...highest to lowest). But in iTunes...its buried, u have to click on EACH APP amongst the HUNDREDS to see their rating. Abso-FUCKNG-lutely ridiculous.

Yeah it's probably something about Apple giving smaller app developers a fair chance. If the big name giants with their 5/5 star ratings show up at the top, newer companies will consider it risky to keep developing apps as their apps will undoubtedly be at the bottom.

Apple is COMMUNIST in other words lol...

App developers can get attention and buzz in other ways, besides being sorted "above the fold". And if their apps are truly great, they will get good ratings.

I'm another moaning throat in this chorus. Guys can you suggest some unbiased sites cataloguing & reviewing apps available on AppStore? AppStore itself doesn't event have more-or-less usable web version

Apple's brought some great innovations to market, and iTunes was one of those when it was first released, but it has become perhaps the most bloated, nonsensical piece of widely used software in existence.

iTunes deserves a quick and merciful death.

Still apple has not even looked at this, I used Google search on my iphone and it did a better job than Apple as far as giving me results with better ratings of apps in the apple app store. With that and me being on my second 128gb 6 plus whose screen just flashes and stops responding, I'm considering a switch. Their push to use bluetooth for headphones on the next model also isnt helping

I am amazed by this. It is insane to think I have no way of sorrting apps. I waste SO much time trying to find apps in the app store. It's ridiculous.
