"Extender" cable from dock to iPhone?

It's too involved to explain why, but I would like to get an extender cable that would plug into the dock for my iPhone (where the phone usually would go) and then plug that cable into the phone itself.

This would means a "female" flat plug to "male" flat plug.

Does anyone know if such a thing exists?

Sounds like you found what you need. However, IF your problem involved being able to plug into the IP with a case attached, a "flip" case could also solve the problem. On a lark, I bought an alcohol breath tester that is powered by the IP, but I found I couldn't power it with my IP in a case. So, I was also looking for an extender until I found the Countour Flip case which did away with my need for an extender cable.

A better solution for my problem in that I don't have to carry a cable around (which I would probably misplace in about a nano second.
