It keeps showing the wrong location. Maybe half a mile off everytime I'm at work. Anyone else having problems with their compass/maps? Thanks.

Like I said, I'm simply "trying to get us back to answering the OP's situation as opposed to getting side-tracked on a compass discussion."

It is a magnetic compass, whether you believe it or not. And the compass has nothing to do with this thread anyway: Only the GPS is used for location.

This is correct. It is a magnetic compass.

Ok let's be clear here, the problem is that the iPhone shows the wrong location just like the three different ones I had this is how it works.
The location is FIRST determined by the triangulation system just like on the Original iPhone, when the iphone detects movement as in "driving" it switches to GPS to be more accurate, that can be verified by the halo produced from the blue dot on "maps".
the compass is a total different story and in fact it is DIGITAL also its performance is affected by magnetic fields [http://www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html] although if you put it near a computer it will react to it.
The GPS works indoors and outdoors. (wich will be activated when it detects movement)
What "chewyho" wrote was about the position but also the compass was mentioned
please read the tech specs and read the fine print.
Compass/ GPS never works when I'm at work.
