gprs mobile connectivity

gprs mobile connectivity

does anyone know whether i can connect to the internet via bluetooth using a samsung z140 or ericsson v800 mobile phone as a gprs modem? Is there a mac driver for them??
Once I tried using a sony ericsson t610 but i needed to use a driver designed for the ericsson t39 mobile phone, and although my ibook was succesful to get a connection, no actual traffic could take place.

actually i checked ross barkman's page
I downloaded a list of scripts that refers to "sony ericsson". are they intended to work with any sony ericsson or ericsson mobile phone?
the reason why i'm asking is that i have not still bought my mobile phone, so i would like to be sure it is going to work before buying it

Sony ericsson and Ericsson are the same thing.

There was brand name change prior to the SE T68i being released a few years ago when Ericsson became Sony Ericsson.

I have used Ross Barkman's scripts sucessfully with

Hi Luigi, I have a V800 and I'm in the process of trying to get it and my new ibook GPRS capable. I've used Ross Barkman's scripts to to get my ibook to connect to my French operator (SFR) successfully, but like you, there is no traffic (ie no browsing).

I'm going to work this problem later, but if you solve it first (or if anyone can help) I'd sure appreciate your input.

If I do resolve this issue I'll pass along the details. Scott

Ensure that your GPRS account has internet data (not wap data) enabled.

Connecting a G4 PowerBook to the internet via Vodafone GPRS and Bluetooth enabled Sony Ericsson T610
